Blogging about not blogging

Arlene recently wrote about why she hasn't been blogging as much recently:
Or perhaps the death of Google Reader will push people back into posting on their own blogs and sites since everyone is going to be forced to click through 5 times on + anyways.
I suspect my lack of blogging over the past couple of years is attributed to the crippling self-doubt I suffer as I get older and older. Unlike other people who grow comfortable with wisdom gained by time, I find that growing older has only shown me how little I know about anything. There is so much left to learn, why bother saying anything as definitively as posting it on your personal weblog?I hear what she's saying, but I suspect that the slow demise of this here blog has less to do with self-doubt than it does with other, more appropriate options for my commentary. Short, pithy snark? Twitter. Sharing a link with some relevant and deeply insightful commentary? R.I.P. Google Reader, but perhaps Google+ will mature into something functional.
